Speaker’s Remarks:

This was Mike’s Craft talk . He gave a very  interesting and thorough discussion of his business laced with humour and with the aid of his daughter Addy. Mike is a partner at Equity Associates as a Financial Advisor. He discussed tactical money management. Canadians on average spend 110% of their salary which leads to too much debt. He said that everyone needs a strategy for safety to protect against falling markets. He concluded by giving 5 Ways to reduce your Taxes

A very interesting and entertaining talk…Well done Mike

THE OBJECT OF ROTARY is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

FIRST. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;

SECOND. High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society;

THIRD. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and community life;

FOURTH. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

The “ideal of service” is the key. It is an attitude that does not change from one version to the next. It is an attitude we all have, as Rotarians.

IF YOU CAN’T MAKE IT, MAKE UP : Pat Dyck, our Club Secretary has a Rotary International Directory of all Rotary Clubs in the world, when and where they meet. Please mail or fax your make-ups to Pat Dyck, or give your make-up card to the attendance/registration officer at the next club meeting.
