1 – Ted had multiple including RLI Training on April 22 at Rotary Institute__, need 3000 volunteers__from our District next year in June for Rotary International Conference. Expect more than 40,000 attendees, need prizes for our Reverse Draw ( $ 50 – 75 )

2 – Sue looking for 7 volunteers Sat April 15 ( 9:30 – 2:00 ) for Easter Egg Hunt at Safety Village

3 – Mike said the Scots are NOT coming this September. Yes in the fall of 2019

4 – Kim announced a nice note of thanks from Wyndreach Farms

5 – Devon informed us that about $ 500 has come in so far in memory of Peter McGill passing. Additional donations are welcome

6 – President David urged a push on sales of Reverse Draw tickets & that May 7 at Scarborough G.C. 100 year Anniversary celebration of Rotary Foundation

Lennis has some information to turn over to our Chair Linda Porritt that will help us all and will we will SHARE it WITH YOU ON HOW TO ATTRACT NEW MEMBERS TO YOUR ROTARY CLUB

Spouses and any friends are invited, PLEASE ADVISE DAVE ANDREWS AS SOON AS YOU CAN. THIS IS a good night to bring any prospective members ( and former members) and their spouses TOO. Please register on line on the District 7070 website. 8:30 am to 4 pm. NO CHARGE TO FIRST YEAR ROYARIANS TAKING PART ONE, AND OUR CLUB WILL PAY FOR YOU TO TAKE PART 2 OR PART 3.

MAY 7 – The 100th Anniversary of the Rotary Foundation Luncheon Celebration, featuring keynote speaker, Rotary International President Elect Ian Riseley. NOON TO 4 PM - at the Scarboro Golf & Country Club, 123 Scarborough Golf Club Rd., Scarborough, Ontario.This Million Dollar Luncheon is a celebration event designed to recognize all Arch Klumph Society, Major Donors and recent Bequest Society Members whose gifts or commitments are $10,000.00 or greater. Our goal is to show that District 7070 is committed to our Rotary Foundation by raising a minimum of $1 Million US Dollars in 2016-17.

Even if you are not a member of one of the above mentioned groups there is still a way for you to attend this exciting event as our guest:

if you are or become, between July 1, 2016 and May 7, 2017, a member of the Arch Klumph Society, Major Donor, or Paul Harris Society, you will be our guest at this event.
if you become a Benefactor or Bequest Society member between July 1, 2016 and May7, 2017, you will be our guest at this event.
if you make a donation of $200.00 US or more to the Polio Plus Program between July 1, 2016 and May 7, 2017, you will be our guest at the event.

1. All new/recent Rotarians are applicable to receive a $35 discount - so their cost to attend the Assembly is reduced to $40. This is a great way for newer Rotarians to get engaged. The discount is available to all Rotarians who joined from January 1st, 2016 (yes, 2016). Simply enter the following discount code on the payment screen: 2017NewRotarian.... (Yes, we will be checking.) :-)

2. Any Rotaractor, Interactor or Youth Exchange Student have a reduced price of $35.00. While the Assembly is primarily geared to Rotarians, those wishing to learn more about Rotary may choose to attend with their sponsor Rotary Clubs.

No discounts will be offered at the door on the day of the Assembly.Our ROTARY Club pays your registration. The Rotary Meal was a huge hit. Tender Prime Rib, perfectly cooked and seasoned potato and beans plus Pies and cookies and fruit washed down with tea and coffee. Members were aglow with satisfied looks on their faces.
