Thank you for joining the 10 Durham Region  Rotary Clubs, live from the Global Classroom in the Centre for Collaborative Education at Durham  College where we celebrated World Polio Day with leaders from around the world. This year, it was online.

WE ARE GETTING READY FOR WORLD POLIO DAY 2021 IN DURHAM REGION LIVE FROM THE ROTARY GLOBAL CLASSROOM IN THE CENTRE FOR COLLABORATIVE EDUCATION AT DURHAM COLLEGE. STAY TUNED, EVERYONE. 

All Rotary and Rotaract club in District 7070 and all over the world. We saw proclamations presented and flag raised from the 8 City and Region to our 10 clubs in Durham Region , thanking them for Rotary's support, from our mayors of the 8 communities in Durham Region, were also be shown by video.

Then, Dr. Bob Scott, the past chair of Rotary’s PolioPlus Committee (worldwide) was our keynote speaker. He updated everyone on Rotary’s latest efforts to eradicate polio from this world. He talked LIVE with Ian Riseley (Past President Rotary International)  and with Dr. Tunji Funsho , Rotary's Chair of the Nigeria PolioPlus Committee ( and one Time magazine's 100 most influential people of 2020). We also heard from Monique Nasoud, the former Durham College student who received the two drops of vaccine while growing up in Pakistan,
