April 22, 2023 - Earth Day - And the Rotary Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup.
Members, families and friends of the Rotary Clubs of Oshawa, Oshawa-Parkwood and Courtice helped the Friends of the Second Marsh clean up the Second Marsh, in Oshawa, Ontario Canada. Thank you to our civic leaders, many if who are fellow Rotary Club members for helping: Durham Regional Chair and fellow Rotarian John Henry, Durham MPP Todd McCarthy, Oshawa Mayor and honourary Rotarian Dan Carter, Clarington Mayor Adrian Foster, Deputy Mayor of Oshawa Bob Chapman, Oshawa Councilors Jim Lee and Oshawa Councilor and fellow Rotarian Tito Dante Marimpietre.
This is the third annual Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup as thousands of Rotarians and their families from hundreds of Rotary Clubs that surround all of the Great Lakes , on both sides of the Canada-US border, are cleaning up the watersheds today and this week - as Rotary focuses on protecting the environment.
