Two members of the Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood family were among the 21 women and girls who received the 2018 “Leading Women, Leading Girls, Building Communities” Award, from the Province of Ontario, at the evening Awards Ceremony, hosted by Oshawa's Member of Provincial Parliament Jennifer French, on Tuesday, April 3, at the Oshawa Public Library, McLaughlin Branch in downtown Oshawa. Kim Boatman, the Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood's Director of Service and the co-owner and Advertising Director with The Oshawa Express and Active Seniors Digest, together with Carolina Rodriguez, President of the Rotaract Club of DC & UOIT, who is completing her Kinesiology degree at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT), both received the awards, from the Province of Ontario and the Ministry of the Status of Women, to recognize local women and girls who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and improve the lives of others.
