Over 80 Rotarians and civic leaders from 16 Rotary Clubs in District 7070 attended the Rotary District 7070 Friendship Day in Oshawa at Parkwood Estate, co-hosted by the Rotary Clubs of oshawa and Oshawa-Parkwood. A first class event. Reviving the tradition set by Colonel Sam McLaughlin and The Rotary Club of Oshawa in the 1950's and 60's. Mike McGovern, Rotary International Chair of the PolioPlus Committee was the keynote speaker. Afet the luncheon, guest toured the mansion and some toured the exquisite grounds of Parkwood Estate , the home of the late Colonel R. R Sam McLaughlin, founder of General Motors of Canada .
