GUEST SPEAKER:

Introduced by Terry Johnston of CKDO Radio in Oshawa, Keith Richards, our Durham Regional Police Sgt in charge of the vulnerable sector branch and committee member of the Kids Safety Village, thanked volunteers for Easter Egg Hunt. The Kids Safety Village website traffic is up significantly with 1700 on line visits in past 3 months. With the addition of the Fire Safety element run by the various Fire Departments of the 8 municipalities in Durham, Keith said that many teachers are booking both police and fire safety classes and GO Transit has a great class for rail safety, also popular with the teachers.

Almost all of the rest of the school year is booked up.

During the summer, with the partnership of Durham College, Corey Walsh, the Constable in charge at the Kids Safety Village is looking at running summer safety camps.

Keith is relatively new to this position (about one year now) and would welcome any suggestions.

He finished by thanking us for our Community

Lennis Trotter thanked Keith Richards .
