Robbie - Reverse Draw –May 10 is fast approaching Tickets have been printed . It is Time to SELL - Last year we had 125 people for dinner, 156 tickets sold. This year the ticket is $125. We need YOU to help sell more tickets this year and get more Silent Auction Items to reach the profit levels that our members said was our top fundraising priority in our Visioning Exercise and also in our Strategic Plan.

Dave – Reverse Draw –May 10 is fast approaching. We want to highlight our Silent Auction items on Facebook and on our website. We need your help. When you get a Silent Auction item, take a real nice photo, get a detailed description of the item, get the name of the sponsor, and get the info to dave as soon as possible. The sponsors will like getting their names associated with our big event and the item they are donating.

Bob Koski – Not only did he get a nice silent auction item from Skyzone, he also got a nice service from Staples in Whitby. They will print posters of our silent auction items for our big event! Thank you Bob.

Kris - was pleased to announce: the application for the Rotary Foundation Global Grant for the School Bus Project in India, has reached The Rotary Foundation. Kris has signed, and Ted and Neil Phillips will also sign. This project, when approved will include a bus, toilets and a desk for the school. $2,000 US each from Parkwood Rotary and Sunrise Whitby, plus two clubs in India. The grant from the world fund is in progress.

Sonya – Youth Committee Meeting Tuesday March 20 at 5 pm

REMINDERS:

Lennis – Safety Village has cancelled Easter Egg Hunt due to the renovation and expansion project. Therewill be a meeting of the KSV Board and Committee on March 26 at 7 pm and the Region of Durham Headquarters on Rossland Road.

Linda - Has everyone registered for the International Convention in June? You should also consider to volunteer

CONVENTION June 23 to 27

Linda – Bob Elliott is asking all would-be curlers to join him in setting up a team from our Rotary Club to attend the March 25 District 7070 Curling Bonspiel, from about 8:30 am to about 2:00 pm, right here at the Oshawa Golf Club.

Linda - Membership Meeting March 20 starting at 8:00 pm

Linda – if anyone has used up their “Be Our Guest” Cards , please see Linda and she will arrange to get more for you

TedKids Against Hunger – Meal Packing Day - May 5 – 9 am to about 12:30 pm - location is confirmed as Durham College, Please ask your friends and family , grandchildren too (over 8 years old) to come out and help!!! Joint project with the Rotary Club of Whitby-Sunrise . Our goal is to pack 15,000 meals.
