SPEAKER:   Past D.G. and current District Foundation Chair Ted Morrison was introduced by Pres. Dave Penney.

Ted’s topic tonight was Paul Harris Fellow Recognition Points.  I will relate some of the statements from his Power Point Presentation and include the presentation as a part of this Bulletin.

Points can be used to recognize any person including a fellow Rotarian or a member of the community as a new (or multiple PHF) . Since 2011, dollar gifts are equivalent to recognition points on a 1:1 basis

Paul Harris Fellow Recognition points are assigned to a contributor to the Rotary Foundation for dollar gifts to the Annual Fund and to polio or to an authorized Global Grant.

Recognition Points can be used to recognize any person including a fellow Rotarian or a member of the community as a new (or multiple PHF)

A Benefactor to the Foundation makes a pledge.”when I die I will leave US$1,000 (minimum) in my will to the Rotary Foundation “.You will also receive “benefactor wings” that you wear under your Rotary pin. This shows the Rotary world that you are a supporter of the Rotary Foundation.

As always when Ted speaks about the Rotary Foundation, we could feel his enthusiasm for the good work supported by the $$ contributed by Rotarians from around the world. Let’s continue to support these great needs and consider becoming a Benefactor if you are not one already.

Past President Dave Andrews thanked Ted for once again updating us with information about the Rotary Foundation and how we can continue to give support and motivate others.

Meeting adjourned Approx   8 pm
