Tour of the Canadian Tank Museum and Dinner at the 420 Wing
ANNOUNCEMENTS / REMINDERS:
President Hilda’s Announcements:
Hilda – Thanked Shashi Bhatia for organizing the Tour of the Canadian Tank Museum and Dinner at the 420 Wing .
Hilda thanked Sam Richardson, Curator of the Museum, and guides and coordinator Andy Lyons (Past President of the Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood) and presented The Canadian Tank Museum with a donation of $500.
Hilda – Reminded the club of our Bingo duties on May 31, June 19 & June 28. June 19 is : - Hilda F, Camille F, Dave A, Lennis T. The roster is full for these times. If you wish to join in on the bingo FUNdraising contact Hilda to sign up. We need one volunteer for June 19 to replace Camille who is unable to attend. Please let Hilda know as soon as possible.
Hilda – reminded the Club of the upcoming Peony Festival being held on June 6 (set up) , 7 & 8. Please volunteer and help. Sign up with Hilda TODAY.
Hilda – noted that the Manure sales have been brisk.
Hilda – informed us that the Changeover Night for our District Governor and District 7070 Awards Night will be held at the Whitby Legion from 5 pm to 8:30 pm. Register HERE
Hilda – announced that President’s Night (our annual changeover of Club Presidents) is on June 17. A sign up sheet will go around on June 10 at the meeting. Dinner will be a buffet, likely very similar to the one we had on Paul Harris Awards Night and the cost will be approximately $30 per person. Spouses are invited. This is our night to say thank you to President Hilda and her Board of Directors and to Welcome in President Elect David Mankiewicz and his Board of Directors as they start their 2025-26 Rotary year.
Hilda – reminded the Club an upcoming celebration of the 60th Anniversary for the Rotary Club of Toronto East (D.G. Virginia’s Club) being held on June 13.

Hilda – A Pickleball Tournament will be held on June 18th being sponsored by the Oshawa Senior Citizens 55+ group. Our Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood made a donation of $250 as a sponsor of the tournament.

After the tour, we Brian Morningstar presented the plans for the expansion and new building.
