ANNOUNCMENTS:

Manure sales Al Finnigan announced that we are down to 165 bags left, sales are steady and we will be selling the manure at the north end farmers market this Saturday from 8 am. To 12 noon.

May 12  7 00PM Whitby Rotary is also presenting Crime against Children presented by RCMP and Toronto Police

May 18-7:15 pm. Toronto Sunrise 25 Anniversary no cost to register, optional 50/50 draw, must register

May 29 is make up date for the Great Lakes Clean up project Mark says it is a go. Tee shirts will be supplied

June 12-16 International Convention

Our district conference is June 25 and 26; cost $10.00

Our district grant of $500.00. Will have more direction after May20.

On line gaming in the works.

Speakers Needed - David Andrews reminded us that there are several openings for Guest Speakers in June and forward

 

Honorary Members

The board has received notification from club members and approved, two proposals for honorary members. Linda Biddle and Peter Dueck.

Members are being notified by way of this meeting and our weekly bulletin of this approved proposal. If Board Secretary (Robbie Larocque;(robbielarocque@dgbiddle.com) does not receive any objection from the club members (via email) within 7 days of bulletin being distributed via email. Linda and Peter will be notified by Robbie, of their honorary membership status.

SPEAKER:

Steve Rutledge introduced our co-speakers Maureen Bird and Haldine Alleyne

Their presentation was on St.Vincent devastating earthquake in April that displaced approximately 20,000 people.

Heather Drakes thanked our presenters.

Kris Sachdeva gave us a five point summary of the latest  news on the virus to date.
