ANNOUNCEMENTS     
Sandy McDowell gave an update of our Bingo - to date we have made approx. $3000.00.  At the request of the hall managers, we have reduced to three teams and agreed to pay an employee of the Bingo Hall $50.00 each session to help us become more proficient in bingo procedures, in particular the banker position. Ted and Hilda spoke positively regarding this new procedure.  Amber was able to give us some "tips" which made it easier and lessened the confusion in the banking area.

Delivery expected on Dec 3 at The Biddles. $25 each for the Brandt Meats 2 kg Black Forest Ham and $25 each for the 2lb 8 oz Heritage Bakery Fruitcake. We ordered a few extra. Past Pres Dave Andrews – Thank you ALL. We have SOLD OUT on the Big Game 53 (Superbowl) tickets from the Rotary E Club of Southern Ontario Western New York. Approx $1,100 for our Club.
 
Past Pres Dave Andrews – Nov 22 is US Thanksgiving, Nov 23 is Black Friday, Nov 26 is Cyber Monday and Nov 27 Tuesday is Giving Tuesday. AND November is Rotary Foundation Month – good time to give if you haven’t already made your donation and get a tax receipt for the 2018 taxation year.

Dave – Next Week , Nov 27, we have a Board of Directors meeting at 5 PM, and then we have , for our meeting - the AGM of Rotary Club of Oshawa Parkwood as well as the AGM of the Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood Charitable Foundation and the respective election of officers for both. Please note that the Committee reports and updates will be on Tuesday January 22, 2019
 
Community Service Chair and Director Janice Coupland announced an opportunity for our club members to do some hands-on volunteer service at the Health Mission Outreach Free Dental Clinic at Durham College . The Health Mission Outreach is hosting it’s second free Dental/Health Clinic at Durham College on Saturday November 24, 2018 (10am – 4pm). Durham College’s Dental, Nursing, Paramedic and Child Youth Coordination programs will be volunteering. Over 20 HMO volunteer Dentists and Durham College’s Dental Hygiene students together will be providing treatment. The Rotary Club has volunteered with the Health Mission Outreach on a number of missions internationally and locally over the years. On June 17, 2017 they helped and treated over 162 vulnerable community members in need, without access to dental care. Director Kim Boatman gave an update on our support to help those in need at this time of year.  $500.00 to Sharon's Kids (celebrating 50 yrs this year) and $1000.00 to Simcoe Hall Settlement House. 
 
Director Kim Boatman – The Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood is supporting the RMG Exposed 2018 event at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery, on Saturday November 24th. There are two tickets for this event are complimentary .Kim asked if any members would be interested.  It is an opportunity to present an award on behalf of our club.  Contact Kim if you are interested. Our Rotary Club has sponsored an award  for the upcoming Robert McLaughlin Gallery fundraising event called RMG Exposed, which raises funds for their free child and family programs run throughout the year. They average 63 free programs open to the public each year.
Artists submit photographs (we received over 400 this year) and a professional jury narrows down the field to just 40 that are auctioned off by silent auction. The artists are given the chance to receive a cash award and we are their final sponsor.
