Bob Stewart represented admirably, the Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood and presented the Commencement Award to a McLaughlin C.V.I. student, at their annual Commencement awards. The event this year was too large to be at MCVI, so the Community Church on King Street , just west of Stevenson Road, was the venue. We were very proud of Bob as he presented our award to Indigenous student Elenoor Morano.

Past President Hilda Finnigan (and Al) attended the RMG Exposed 2018 event at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery, on Saturday November 24th. And presented an award on behalf of our club.  Our Rotary Club has sponsored an award  for the upcoming Robert McLaughlin Gallery fundraising event called RMG Exposed, which raises funds for their free child and family programs run throughout the year. They average 63 free programs open to the public each year.
Artists submit photographs (we received over 400 this year) and a professional jury narrows down the field to just 40 that are auctioned off by silent auction. The artists are given the chance to receive a cash award and we are their final sponsor.
The event is well attended and supports amazing work. Attached is the proposal with photos of last year's event and sponsor benefits. https://www.rmgexposed.net/
