Bob Stewart had his correct coat on this week and was able to donate his tooney from last week; always pays his debts.
Dave is looking forward to April 3 to attend the leading Women, Leading Girls, Building Communities Awards Presentation at the Oshawa Public Library.
Kim thanked Ted and Dave for the nomination.

ROTARY MOMENT:
VP Linda announced that March 31 is the last day to register for the Rotary International Convention to receive a discount!
There are many events to volunteer at or attend. Aside from the speakers and breakout sessions there are lots of Host Organizing Events happening. Jazz and Dinner at the Aquarium, an event at the Distillery District and Rotary Fest which is a RibFest. In addition there is a Betond Borders Zone 24 and 32 Dinner Gala at the Hockey Hall of Fame. The side trips to Niagara Falls are also of interest.
There is a dinner to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Rotaract at the Rotaract preConvention. On June 22 World Water Summit #10 is being held at the Delta Hotel. On June 22-23 and there is a Rotary Peace Building Summit.
Note: Peace Building Summit and Water Summit are separate from the convention.
There are opportunities to volunteer if you are not attending the convention. Including our Home Hospitality dinner event on June 25.

There were 10 new members were recruited this year all at the Meet and Greet Event that many member of our Rotary Club attended. And as with the case of a university based Rotarct Club, all but 3 will not be able to return, next year. As students, Rotaract is not a priority, but getting a job is! In spite of this, the Rotarct Club of Durham College-UOIT carried out several fund raising events and contributed to many servcie projects including a donation to PolioPlus and Rotary's endeavour to eradicacte Polio from the world.
Our Rotary Club said to the Rotarct Club if you know where the Rotaract graduates are going, let it be known to our YouthnServices Committee and the info will be forwarded to a local Roatarct or Rotary Club where they are going.
Carolina will advise Sonja, with the names of the Rotaract executive for next year, which is being looked at right now..
Just some of the events for the Roatract year included fundraisers such as a bake sale, haircuts, game/video night with candy kabobs and a movie night.

We will all continue to think of prospects to connect with. Everyone in the club needs to participate and contribute a silent auction item for our evening.
We may be able to set up a Facebook Page with some of the major items, which will also entice the public to purchase tickets for the evening.
