GUEST SPEAKER: ANA REJAB – HER CLASSIFICATION / CRAFT TALK
Introduced by President Sue MacKinnon, Ana is currently working on the Business side of banking/commercial banking.
Here are some highlights of her classification talk:
She thanked Linda Porritt for introducing her to Rotary and to our Rotary Club
She started with HSBC, took time off to have her two boys( now 12 and 6 years of age) and taught English as a Second language, before getting back into the business banking with CIBC
During this COVID time, meeting the needs of clients is often a challenge that requires a change of thinking; advising businesses how to survive may not always mean borrowing more money – alternate solutions must be sought after. Cash flow so important as is sound inventory control practices
Ana studied Economics and Politics and graduated from Warwick University in Coventry England
She currently teaches English as a second language to refugees
She is a member of the Oshawa and Whitby Chambers of Commerce and the two BIA’s as well
Hobby is cooking and more recently baking, especially bread
Ana likes Rotary because it feeds her passion for directly “helping people”
Janice Coupland thanks Ana for a well done classification / Craft Talk
