GUEST SPEAKER :
Past Pres. David Andrews welcomed and introduced our speakers from the Rotary Club of Oshawa, Lori Perkin, Trish Best and Emmy Iheme.
These three fellow Rotarians showed a video and spoke about their week long experience in the Dominican Republic. All three, plus several other volunteers were enthusiastic about the many projects they participated in and the work accomplished in one week. They showed the poor living conditions as well as the sense of pride when improvements were made. Projects included water filters, latrines, lighting (solar), sanitary kits, playground equipment for schools and much, much more. A picture is worth a thousand words - the video said it all.
Past Pres. and Director of International Service, Kris Sachdeva thanked our speakers and complimented them on the work they had done.
