Dave Andrews introduced Dr Colin Carrie, a member of our own Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood, who just returned from the Conservative Party conference on the weekend, in Quebec City.
He was very optimistic about what he heard there. He said his topic is optimism for the future.
He said he was very impressed with the leader. He outlined some of the policies they will pursue in the coming years.
Colin talked about the tough economic times we live in. Some solutions include more powerful paychecks, jail not bail for violent offenders increase help for municipalities to build more homes.. He added that we need to double our GDP and get rid of the carbon tax that will give people more money in their wallet.
