David/Ted – Sportsman Dinner $170,000 in retail items – fantastic ideas we will meet February 20th to discuss ideas and meet again the beginning of March to assign duties and get more specific about our plans

Name of Speakers: This Evening we had two Craft Talks one from David Penney and one from Chris Birrell – very well done_

David Penney is married to Jan. He was born in Pembrook and moved to Cornwall at an early age. He graduated from Carlton University and stated his accounting career with Price Waterhouse. He moved to Toronto and caried on in the Pharmaceutical industry, before a 15 year career with revenue Canada. They moved to Bowmanville , have 2 sons and have 2 cats 18 and 19 years old. He them mover to the Tax Department of general Motors of Canada in 1991, and David gave us a brief history of the reorganization of GM into General Motors Company before he retired in 2013. David has held and carries on in the Tax institutes in Canada and in North America. David has been a Rotarian for 7 years , and was President of the Bowmanville Rotary Club last year. Welcome David !!
Chris Birrell was born and raised in Kingston and moved to Oshawa in 2010. He went to Queen University and also St Lawrence College . He was an Airport manager in Kingston, and move into the financial services field and also into the sales of doors and windows that he still does today. He was with Investors Group,and RBC and The Cooperators before joining in his present career selling home and car insurance with Allstate. He is married to Andrea and they have a dog. Chris was a member of the Rotary Club of Pickering before they moved to Oshawa and now we can say, Welcome Chris!!
