BIRTHDAYS AND ANNIVERSARIES
Happy Birthday to Robert Kipling on June 7.

We gathered at Children’s Arena Parking Lot for an unofficial “Tailgate” Rotary Meeting, members set about to “clean up” the area around the Oshawa Creek and the Valleyview Park Grounds as we participated in the Rotary Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup Program.

We also welcomed Natalie Trotter (granddaughter of Lennis and Esther). Natalie was helping us and gathering Community Service hours .

Although none were spoken – everyone was happy to see and talk in person

Here is Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood President Sue MacKinnon, the mastermind behind the clean up of the environment at the Oshawa Botanical Gardens along the banks of the Oshawa Creek standing on the Rotary Centennial Bridge - part of the Rotary Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup Project.
Over 30 pounds of garbage was cleaned by the club members on Tuesday June 1. That's the way to have your weekly Rotary meeting.
Desert supplied by Pres. Sue was enjoyed as well as socially distanced fellowship.

Lennis Trotter asked the editor to announce that a New Plaque has been dedicated , in honour of our long time Oshawa-Parkwood Rotarian Devon Biddle, for his dedicated service for many years to the Kids Safety Village of Durham Region. The plaque is located at the Kids Safety Village in the Ampitheatre. His plaque is right beside the one dedicated to another long time Oshawa-Parkwood Rotarian Millar Keys
