Ted Morrison started the updates with our Club’s Rotary Foundation Committee. Ted noted that we have already reached our goal for donations to the Polio Fund of the Rotary Foundation, but he encouraged us all to make donations to the Annual Programs Fund to reach our goal. He talks about the various programs of the Rotary Foundation, including the $9,000 District grant for the Kids Against Hunger program that helped us pack 45,000 meals last weekend and the Global grant that we are pursuing to help patients from getting malaria in Kenya. He reminded us that any donations made to the Foundation before Dec 31 would get a tax receipt for the 2024 tax year.

David Penney updated us on the activities of the International Service Committee. His committee is busy reviewing two new request to assist clubs with global grants for a school in Uganda and a cancer screening mobile van for India.  The committee is recommending a donation of $1,200 to Shelterbox Canada. We have donated $2,000 to Adopt A Village Laos and are very close to obtaining the grant for malaria aid for Kenya and the water global grant for the Hospital in Uganda.

Robbie Larocque update the activities of the Administration committee.  Each year we send poinsettias to some of our shut ins and he will need volunteers to take those plants to them.( near the end of November). He still needs volunteers to help with registration desk in January and April, and he needs bulletin editors in April and June. We also need a sgt a arms for Feb 2025. Please sign up with Robbie.
